Get Ready For An 'Underwater Grand Fishing Adventure' | New Series Preview

STARTING THIS WEEK! The third series of “The Grand Fishing Adventure” goes up a gear and fully embraces what goes on sub surface with Europe’s most popular fish, the carp, by going “Underwater”!

Fishing maniac Ali Hamidi, is joined by a team of underwater filming experts, led by diver Luc Boerrigter, to expose the myths and truths of what really goes on down below when carp fishing. Including groundbreaking “live” underwater footage never seen on television ever before.

Ali will be fishing alongside his long-standing angling partner and ex-pro footballer, Bobby Zamora, but there’s also a new name of the team sheet for this series too, big carp angler - Roo Abbott.

Ali and the lads get to fully immerse themselves in the underwater unknowns to find out exactly what lies beneath. Watch them scrutinise their different carp rigs and baits by viewing incredible footage playout live as it happens from the mission control tent on the “live-cam” screens.

Also, with split screen action, you the viewer will not only get to watch the incredible underwater footage playout, but you’ll also get to enjoy seeing the reaction of the team as they watch events playout live bankside – think “Gogglebox for Fishing”. This series brings a totally new dimension to fishing on TV.

There are also “spy-cams”, which are more mobile underwater cameras that are placed then retrieved after the events, so in effect “Carp VAR”. Virtually no areas are off limits for camera coverage!

Via the mix of underwater cameras, you’ll get to see how effective various tackle and tech are in different scenarios, which baits carp love best and how different weather conditions influence the carps’ behaviour.

The team get to fish and place the underwater cameras in some of the best “big carp venues” in the UK and France, that hold potential record busting fish. Their mission is to not only catch huge carp, but to also capture all the action on the underwater cameras too, from the bites, to going in the net.

The stakes are high, the bar raised, and the difficulty level has gone up… but the boys are all well up for the challenge!

EPISODE 1 - CHASING DREAMS: TUESDAY 15^th APRIL at 9pm

Ali Hamidi is joined by angling buddy Roo Abbott and diver Luc Boerrigter. The mission is for the team to catch a carp, with the bite all filmed on an underwater camera. The destination is Chase Lakes in France; a 12-acre gravel pit, with 250 carp to over 70lbs. In the tough spring conditions the carp are playing hard to get. Constant tweaking of tactics is required after seeing how the carp are feeding. Will their fine tuning of rigs and hookbaits tempt that holy grail bite on camera?

EPISODE 2 - THE LAKE OF DREAMS: TUESDAY 22^nd APRIL at 9pm

Ali Hamidi, Bobby Zamora & Roo Abbott head to “The Lake of Dreams”, AKA Grenville in the UK. The monumental task here is to catch the potential British record carp, all in front of the underwater cameras. The team soon discover that all the carp are constantly on the move, so they decide to chase them armed with mobile underwater cameras. Will the carp run rings around the lads, or will the mobile tactics pay off to bank the biggun?

EPISODE 3 - COLOURFUL DREAMS: TUESDAY 29^th APRIL at 9pm

Ali Hamidi and Bobby Zamora head to the mighty Iktus in France for this first instalment of a two-part special. Their tricky mission is to catch a koi each and a carp of 50lbs or more, all in front on the underwater cameras. Early on the carp show themselves on the live screens but then become camera shy and move out into deeper water where the clarity is poor. Former striker Bobby then infuriates Ali by going rouge with a rod, wanting catch at any cost, which earns him a yellow card.

EPISODE 4 - LIVING THE DREAM: TUESDAY 6^th MAY at 9pm

The concluding part of Ali Hamidi and Bobby Zamora’s underwater mission at Iktus, France. The clock is ticking for the lads to complete their mission of catching a koi each and a team 50lb plus carp, with all the bites captured on an underwater camera. With hookbait tweaks and the adjusting of underwater camera positions, the lads start to crack the code. The action soon reaches fever pitch with multiple carp caught on camera; but will they bank their targets before the time runs out?
