This AMAZING Carp Rig Can Do It ALL! | Steve Hill

The Slip D Multi Combi Rig is the favourite presentation of OMC’s Steve Hill. He uses it for 90% of his angling. Here, he explains why...

Do you want a Carp Rig that is always fishing, is hard for fish to deal with and can be fished with a variety of Hookbaits? Well, that's why I use the Slip D Multi Combi Rig.

Those aren't its only benefits either. It is perfect for anglers on limited time too, as the Rig allows the Hook to be changed easily without re-tying the whole thing.

Here's what you need to tie this Rig up:

And here's how to tie it...

  1. Trim off a 14-inch length of Kickback Fluorocarbon
  2. Cut off 5-6-inches of the Ammo Braid
  3. Form two loops in both materials and pass the Ammo loop through the Kickback loop
  4. Measure the loop off at 2 1/2 cm (same width as a Cool Tool)
  5. Wrap both tag ends of the Ammo Braid around both tag ends of the Kickback four times down
  6. Pinch the knot and come back up two turns
  7. Pass the tag ends back through the Kickback loop in the same direction as the original Ammo loop
  8. Moisten the knot and pull down tight
  9. Slide on an Anti-Tangle Sleeve and Vitabitz Crimp
  10. Crimp a small loop in the end of the Kickback
  11. Pull the whole Rig from both ends with two Puller Tools
  12. Slide the Dazzler Aligner on to the Ammo Braid section
  13. Push the Ammo Braid loop through the front of the eye of a Lock Hook
  14. Slide on a Micro Ring Swivel
  15. Open the loop out and lift it over the hookpoint
  16. With the 'D' formed, position it opposite the barb
  17. Mould a small amount of Blend Putty around the knot
  18. Floss on your bait and blob down
  19. CAST OUT and catch a whacker!

I'm sure you'll love using this Rig as much as I have. It has my total confidence and has caught me some huge carp all over Europe. Get out there and give it a cast!
